WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Consumer Choice Center, a consumer advocacy group based in Washington, D.C., is proud to announce that James Czerniawski will join as Head of Emerging Technology Policy as of July 1, 2025.

In a new role with the Consumer Choice Center (CCC), tech policy analyst James Czerniawski will head up CCC’s technology policy on all matters related to Artificial Intelligence (AI) Governance, Data Privacy and Surveillance, Section 230 and Content Moderation, “Big Tech” Antitrust Regulation, Intellectual Property and even Digital Rights Management as it pertains to the evolving video game industry.
Czerniawski will serve as Head of Emerging Technology Policy with a focus on the United States and its collaboration with partners abroad. Before joining the organization, he was a Senior Tech Policy Analyst for Americans for Prosperity.
His work has been featured in the New York Post, The Hill, Morning Consult, and other publications, and he has testified before the House Judiciary Committee on surveillance reform. Czerniawski received his Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Early American History from The State University of New York at Purchase College and his Master’s degree in Economics from George Mason University, where he was an MA Fellow with the Mercatus Center.
