When was your last password hygiene check?
Experts say getting help with password creation is the key to making sure your passwords and usernames haven’t been compromised.
“I think definitely the age of you creating your own password is just done,” said Yael Ossowski, Deputy Director of the Consumer Choice Center.
Getting help to create a password could be the game-changer if there’s a breach.
A major breach happened in June when CyberNews researchers said billions of login credentials were leaked.
“These are called data breaches, data-based hacks or breaches. These things kind of happen very regularly, but here we’re talking about hundreds of millions of credentials,” said Ossowski. “Usernames, passwords, email addresses and sometimes IP addresses where people have logged in, security questions.”
