Matthew Boyer graduated from Rutgers University in 2016 where he studied political science and German and completed an undergraduate honors thesis on criminal justice reform.
Despite his central Pennsylvania roots, he became the New Jersey State Chair of Young Americans for Liberty and was recognized as the Northeast State Chair of the Year in 2015. He was also a State Coordinator for Students for Rand Paul.
Matthew most recently served as the Director of Communications for Young Americans for Liberty. His work has appeared in The Daily Caller, The Washington Examiner, Morning Consult, FEE.org, Capitalism.com, and more. Matthew is currently the Media Relations Associate with Students For Liberty (SFL) and a policy analyst for Consumer Choice Center.
