The European Union and the founding member of the MERCOSUR (Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay), reached on June a political agreement for an ambitious, balanced and comprehensive trade agreement.
The FTA has significant geopolitical relevance and is a strong sign against protectionism and unilateralism. If ratified, the FTA would establish the largest free trade zone the EU has ever created, covering a population of over 780 million, and consolidate the close political, economic and cultural ties between the two regions.
It’s time to ratify the agreement and benefit consumers on both sides of the Atlantic.
