Berlin, Germany – The Consumer Choice Center (CCC), a global non-profit organization advocating for consumer choice, announced that Jens Teutrine will serve as Director for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland starting in March.
The 32-year-old Teutrine served in the previous legislative term as a Member of the German Bundestag for the Free Democratic Party (FDP), where he served on the Committee on Labour and Social Affairs as well as the Committee on Health. After leaving the Bundestag, the Westphalian-born Teutrine has worked as a freelance public affairs consultant, advising small and medium-sized companies and associations strategically on government affairs and regulatory issues.
Commenting on his new role, Jens Teutrine said:
“I am excited about the new role and the opportunity to strengthen the voice for freedom and consumer empowerment in the German-speaking region. Personal responsibility and open markets are catalysts for progress, prosperity, and innovation. While politics debates new restrictions and paternalism on a daily basis, I want to help build and position the CCC as a strong counterweight. I am particularly fascinated by the global perspective and the team’s broad expertise.”
Fred Roeder, Managing Director of the CCC, said:
“We are very pleased that Jens Teutrine will serve as Director for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. With his political experience and expertise, he strengthens our global commitment to consumer freedom and will contribute to a strong and lasting presence of the CCC in the DACH region.”
