Brands Matter!

As marcas são uma parte fundamental da economia da União Europeia e desempenham um papel fundamental nas escolhas diárias de cada um de nós como consumidores. Nós, membros do Grupo de Trabalho Brands Matter, pretendemos defender junto dos responsáveis políticos europeus a importância das marcas numa sociedade livre e economicamente sustentável.

Temos sérias preocupações sobre qualquer medida legislativa que possa ter um impacto negativo no valor e visibilidade das marcas. Políticas que são adotadas sem considerar todas as evidências inevitavelmente levam a consequências não intencionais que podem ser prejudiciais aos consumidores. Queremos moldar uma política de marca que se concentre na evidência e nos benefícios que as marcas trazem para os consumidores europeus e na criação de empregos na Europa.


Por isso, convidamos os formuladores de políticas na Europa a assumirem o compromisso de proteção à marca: “Eu me comprometo a me opor a qualquer medida política que limite a liberdade de marca”. Nos próximos meses, listaremos todos os formuladores de políticas que já assumiram o compromisso aqui.
